Sarah Chandler, MFA, is a writer and journalist who frequently speaks and gives courses on writing, storytelling, public speaking and communication at universities, international companies, and literary centers in the U.S. and Europe.
A former Michener Fellow at the University of Texas, Sarah has served on the faculties at Amsterdam University College, The University of Texas at Austin, Loyola University Chicago, the Open Society Foundations’ Istanbul Summer Program, the Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth, and Emerson College.
A globe-trekking traveler who has lived and worked in seven countries, Sarah frequently writes on arts and culture, travel, food, and business for publications such as Lonely Planet, CNBC, BBC Travel, USA Today, Jetsetter and The Eurail Blog.
As a scriptwriter, editor and multimedia content creator, Sarah has worked with companies such as Disney, Hasbro, Mattel, Hanna-Barbera, Avnet-Kerner Productions, Alamo Drafthouse, Horseback Salad Entertainment, Austin Shakespeare, Scholastic, Compass Learning and Publications International, where she worked on licensed character books and feature film adaptations. An experienced presenter and voiceover artist, Sarah has narrated documentary films, commercials, e-books, and television shows.
